Singhs Arcade

About

A 1920s movie theatre, restored for the long nights.

Singh's Arcade is a retro game lounge built inside a restored Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue cinema. The arcade, the diner, and the Mob Room all share the same bones.

The idea

Why we built it.

The neighborhoods that work best are the ones with one place where everyone ends up. We wanted to make that place — somewhere a kid's birthday, a first date, and a 42-year-old's pinball league all happen on the same Saturday.

The cinema has been here since the 1920s. We didn't want to scrub that out — we built around it.

The owner

Gursagar Singh.

Gursagar Singh started the arcade at 19 — now 23 and studying environmental engineering at McGill. Raised on Maple Street in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, he built the place with Chef Nitz in the kitchen and street artists Kong & Sumo on the walls. The result is three sub-brands under one roof: Café Singhs, Singhs Diner, and The Mob Room. Still on the floor most nights.
